My Thoughts…

Blair and Teo are clients of Liaison International. Blair, an ex-fighter pilot, is a reluctant participant. She’s persuaded, by Miranda, her best friend and owner of the agency, to give it a try. Teo needs a date to ward off his sister’s clumsy matchmaking. The attraction they experience on first acquaintance is powerful and unexpected.

The sensual romance is well-written, but the emotional connection, between the couple, is missing until the end.

My Thoughts…

I loved this sexy, scandalous story.

Complex, emotionally damaged characters, passionate, sensual love scenes. and an original meeting between the two main characters. All factors, which had me turning the pages to see what would happen to Thea, the streetwise but vulnerable heroine, when she meets, sexy as sin playboy Damian, who hides his generous heart well.

The emotional connection between Thea and Damian matches the passion, although it does have to play catch up. Their first encounter is purely intrigue and lust based. Thea’s career, as someone who steals stolen items for the true owners, brings her into direct conflict with billionaire, Damian. The attraction is strong, and her quiet self-possession draws Damian in and threatens the walls he’s built around his heart.

Both the characters are likeable. Although outwardly different, both have emotional scars. You want them to overcome their past issues, and find happiness together. The conflicts are many, both external and internal, but love finds a way.

Hot, hectic and heartwarming, this is a great start to what promises to be a memorable series.

Sometimes digging up the dirt

Means getting deliciously dirty…

I always work for the good guys. My job was simple: get the dirt on Coco Lauren, a princess of a socialite who talks—and plays—dirty. But I kissed her. I tasted her. Uncovered the tantalising woman beneath the polished façade. And she undid me in every way. Now I’m the bad guy. But how do I tell Coco the truth…when coming clean means losing her?

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

My Thoughts…

You always know you’re in for a sensual treat when you read this author’s books.’ Getting Dirty’ delivers this and more. The characters are believably relatable, the pacing is fast, and the romance is conflicted, emotional and so sexy.

Ash has every reason not to like socialites, and he has no trouble digging up the dirt on Coco until he meets her. The attraction is instant and unwelcome, but undeniable, and soon he is drowning in a conflicted spiral of personal and professional.

Coco is hurting and vulnerable, trying to be what she knows her Granny wants but needing something to deaden the pain at the prospect of losing her. Ash is just a source of pain relief, isn’t he? Soon, she is in too deep, and far more emotionally exposed than she wants to be.

The dramatic irony of knowing that Ash’s secret will devastate Coco, and destroy any possibility of a future together, ramps up the story’s intensity. As you wait for the inevitable. Coco is likeable and you want her to be appreciated for who she is. Her maturity and ability to forgive, ultimately make this story perfect.

Ash has a lot to learn, and a great deal of emotional baggage to leave behind before he deserves Coco. His heart and instincts are good, but he’s blinkered by past hurts, and getting over these are difficult, and endanger his future happiness.

An emotionally honest, romantic adventure with a couple you can empathise and a happy ending they deserve.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

My Thoughts…

The author brings her originality to this #Dare novel and makes it a sexy, glamorous, romantic story, full of conflict. Self-made billionaire Ash and car designer Ellie are both emotionally scarred, but they’re survivors and see enough similarity in each other to learn to trust. What starts off as a purely sexual adventure, becomes something more dangerous and potentially life-changing.

The story told from alternative points of view is amusing, intense, sensual, and fast-paced. The emotional journey is tortuous, but worth the pain, the romance is lovely and the ending perfect, for this sexy story.

4* Review – J C Harroway -Forbidden To Want @jcharroway @MillsandBoon

One delicious hook-up deal
One rule—no falling in love

Mia Abbott never backs down from a challenge—especially one posed by sexy widowed billionaire Kit Faulkner. He’s dark, dangerous, damaged—and pure, raw sex appeal. And for the next three weeks, he’s also Mia’s boss. The rules of their wicked engagement? No romance. Only one night together isn’t enough. They’re about to discover that the most forbidden things are also the hardest to give up…

Amazon UK

My Thoughts…

Why is it, you always want most the thing you’re forbidden?

When independent, driven, emotionally scarred Mia meets damaged, grieving, hurting Kit, they discover a no-strings sexual encounter is not the simple solution. A high-charged emotional story, ‘Forbidden to Want’ is full of angst, heat and hope. Set against glamourous billionaire lifestyle background this story is a great escapist read if you enjoy your romance emotionally raw and sensually hot.

Something to keep you warm in the cold winter nights ahead, well- written sensual romance.
