The Jolly Lobster Award

How exciting First Steps has another blogging award to end the week this time from the amazing Antonia van Zandt.

The original instigator of this stupendous award was none other than Milady Fury why are we  not surprised? It is for bloggers who really enjoy the fun and community side of blogging.

Naturally it has rules. Well we all know how Milady likes her rules 🙂

Rule 1 – Display the award logo ‘Drum Roll” and duly displayed.

Rule 2 –  Link back to the person who nominated you

Antonia van Zandt

Rule 3 – An interesting fact about Lobsters is  they can live a long time providing they aren’t eaten by horrible humans. They take approximately seven years to reach an edible size but in their natural habitat and left alone by us they can live to well over a hundred. Amazing and what a shame to cut their life so horribly short.

Rule 4 – Answer the seven questions

1 Have you ever written a book involving sea scenes?(That is sea. Do please make sure there are no typos here). If not why not and do you intend to?

The Dragon Legacy coverNo I haven’t yet although The Dragon Legacy was set in the English Lake District and The Revenge Masquerade is set in the Italian Lakes and Venice so there is a watery connection there just no waves.

2 What is your current WIP?

The Revenge Masquerade which is the second of The Dragon Legacy Books. This one features Jasmine (Witch) and Zane (Wolf ) from the first book and a very nasty entity from Ancient Egypt.

3 Do you have a favorite sea film? And why?

As a child I liked A Night to Remember which was about the Titanic. The original version of course because I’m that old. 🙂

4 A favourite fish recipe to share?

Not a great fish eater but I like salmon fillets on the BBQ with lemon and chives.

5 Your favourite sea-going book?

Loved The Little Mermaid , what can I say I do write fantasy after all.

6 Can you share a fav sea-side memory?

Lots of great times on the beach as a child but probably the best was living in South Devon in a caravan with my fiance for six months in 1981 and working in Teignmouth lovely time our first home together.

7 Most memorable sea-going journey?

I love the sea but from the shore. The sea and I don’t get on probably due to my perennial balance problem. My worst sea journey was the ferry back from Jersey it was rough and I felt sick…

Rule 5 – Nominate up to seven bloggers to receive the award and let them know 🙂
