I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

My Thoughts…

This second chance romance is set in the romantic Seychelles isles, full of reflection, romance, and passionate reunion.

Freddie is heir to Highgrove, and all that, being Laird entails. Now a successful app developer, Jasmine is the daughter of his family’s housekeeper and his ex-fiancee. Matched by M, the exclusive dating agency, they are both surprised, but Jasmine left him, Cinderella-style, and he doesn’t want his heart stolen again. Jasmine ran away for her mother and his family, but seeing him again, she realises this time she’s here to stay.

Their rekindled romance is sensual, seductive and sentimental. The descriptions of the idyllic honeymoon style setting are lovely, and heartfelt emotion colours their every action.

A lovely fairytale ending for this second chance romance with two characters who deserve their happiness.

In the latest superhot tale from reader-favorite author Rachael Stewart, business owner Olivia Carmel is embracing her wild side, and PR expert Valentine Boretti has been hired to rein her in. But instead, Olivia is driving him wild…for her

Seeing a client naked is no way to start a working relationship—especially when that client is stunningly sensual Olivia Carmel. When she invites me to watch her BDSM session in London’s most hedonistic sex club, she thinks I’m a stranger, not a PR expert sent to rein her in.

Watching Olivia awakens a hunger I can’t allow myself to feel. There’s no way I can work with her! But when she crashes her luxury car, I can’t sit on the sidelines and wait for her recklessness to turn fatal. She may kill me when she recognizes me…and when she learns a man sixteen years her junior has been hired to curtail her bad behavior.

I’m here to reawaken Olivia’s careful, rational nature. But instead she’s reawakening my desire…showing me just how well we work together in and out of the bedroom. As we fulfill each other’s naughtiest fantasies, and share our deepest longings, I realize I’m feeling more for my wayward client than lust. But can I convince Olivia to take a chance on love?

My Thoughts…

This romance sizzles from the start with forbidden love. When Olivia and Valentine meet in the boardroom, neither can forget their previous encounter, and the undercurrents of desire and passion predominate. This is a sensual love story about two people damaged by their life experiences, who learn to enjoy life through each other. The passion is integral to their story, which is emotional and poignant too.

The story flows, and it’s an addictive reading experience, not just for the heat it generates but the emotional rollercoaster Olivia and Valentine experience to reach their satisfying conclusion. Such a shame this is the author’s last book for the Dare series, which ends soon.

A little secret sexy fun
Under the Tuscan sun!

It’s her best mate’s wedding week – and Faye Davenport is celebrating with a skinny dip under the Tuscan moon. Except she’s not alone. The sexy Italian dish is Rafael Perez – her mate’s off-limits older brother. But now it’s too late. This illicit, irresistible fire is already out of control…

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

My Thoughts…

Romance, Tuscany and a wedding, all three are guaranteed in this sizzling hot romantic adventure for Faye and Rafael. Faye knows her best friend’s older brother Rafael should be off-limits, but the chemistry is too explosive to ignore, so she grabs a little forbidden fun, not realising what a life-changing experience it would be.

The couple’s emotional commitment keeps pace with their passion. This connection and the Italian setting makes this story so romantic. Both protagonists are likeable and drawn together by their love of the bride, Rafael’s sister, and Faye’s best friend.

Passionate secrets make this an enjoyable sensual romance in vibrant Tuscany.

A second chance…
With the single dad?

When hotelier Sophia Lambert finds billionaire Jack McGregor’s runaway daughter, a thank you dinner sounds harmless. Until Sophia finds herself tantalizingly attracted to Jack… The deeply desirable single dad re-awakens long-buried emotions in Sophia, but his jet-set life is beckoning. Unless Sophia can tempt him with her own proposal: to keep his feet on the ground…

Amazon UK

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

My Thoughts…

This is a gentle, sweet romance with a delightful matchmaker who is the star of the show and beautifully described romantic settings. Jack lives for his daughter and his work, which has left him materially rich but emotionally poor. Sophia doesn’t believe she deserves a full life after a tragic incident in her past, so work is everything for her. She’s competent and successful in business but naive and unfulfilled in her emotional life. Lily is the reason for their paths to cross and she keeps them connected, then its a battle of chemistry versus their past issues but thankfully romance wins out in the end.

The characters are believably flawed and easy to like. Lily sees a chance of real family life and is the catalyst for the romance that follows between her dad and Sophia. The romance is lovely, and there are lots of romantic settings that add to the story’s ambience. The pacing is perfect, and although the conclusion is a true romance, there are conflicts both internal and external along the bumpy emotional road.

Sometimes less is more and this true with this romantic tale.

Unwrapping The Best Man Rachael Stewart 5*#Review @rach_b52 @MillsandBoon @HarlequinBooks @rararesources #MillsandBoonDare #BookBlitz #BookReview #MillsandBoonInsider #Romance #Festive #UnwrappingTheBestMan #ThursdayThoughts #giveaway #ebook

On the first night of Christmas, her sexy crush finally gave to her—an unbelievably hot night! Now she’s ready for nights two, three and four… Unwrap the steamy sequel to Getting Dirty by Rachael Stewart.

Read my review of Getting Dirty

I’ve lusted after brawny, gorgeously rough Jackson Black for six lust-fueled, unrequited years. But Jackson has rules, and the big one is “no getting involved with clients” of his elite London sex club. Including me. But our best friends are getting married, and for one deliciously hot night, the maid of honor and best man agree…what happens in the Scottish Highlands, stays in the Scottish Highlands.

It was everything I wanted and more…until the complete jerk disappears during the night.

Now it’s Christmas, and I have a plan to prove to Jackson Black just how much I don’t care, that he doesn’t turn me on like a Christmas tree. Only Operation: Naughty Elf is backfiring big-time. That aching need for his touch is stronger than ever. It’s painfully clear that I want more than just a fling from the untouchable Jackson Black.

I have one chance to unwrap the best man. But is this sexy, guarded grinch about to steal my heart…or break it?

Amazon UK

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

My Thoughts…

Unwrapping The Best Man delivers a festive surprise and sensual night at a highland wedding, Jackson, is Caitlin’s fantasy, and as her feelings are albeit reluctantly reciprocated passion is inevitable. What happens after is a surprise and Caitlin wants payback.

Jackson’s past threatens to damage his future, but most of his demons are internal as he thinks she’s too good for him. The setting, at the romantic wedding and the secret sex club, gives this story its edge. There’s a sense of forbidden pleasure and a battle of wills. Jackson may think he’s in control, but Caitlin is more than a match for him.

The romance is passionate and pushes the boundaries, but the emotional connection never falters, even when both try to convince themselves that it’s only a physical attraction. If you enjoy your romance raw and reckless, this is the festive read for you.

This story is a sequel to Getting Dirty and shares some characters but is definitely readable as a standalone.

However, her plans are scuppered when wayward niece, Ariel, leaves a note announcing that’s she’s running away with a boy called Pen. The only clue to their whereabouts is a footnote: I’ll Be in Scotland. Cue a case of mistaken identity when Harper confronts the boy’s father – Rocco Penhaligon and accuses him of cradle snatching her niece and ruining her future. At loggerheads, Harper and Rocco set off in hot pursuit of the teenagers, but the canny youngsters are always one step ahead. And, in a neat twist, it is the adults who end up in trouble, not the savvy teenagers. Fasten your seatbelt for the road trip of your life! It’s going to be a bumpy ride!

With Scottish, Irish, and Brazilian blood in her veins, it’s hardly surprising that Lizzie Lamb is a writer. She even wrote extra scenes for the films she watched as a child and acted out in the playground with her friends. She is ashamed to admit that she kept all the good lines for herself. Luckily, she saves them for her readers these days. Lizzie’s love of writing went on hold while she pursued a successful teaching career, finishing up as a Deputy Headteacher of a large primary school. Since deciding to leave the profession to realise her dream of becoming a published novelist, Lizzie hasn’t looked back. She wrote Tall, Dark and Kilted – which echoes her love of her homeland in every page, not to mention heroes in kilts – and published it. Lizzie loves the quickfire interchange between the hero and heroine – like in old black and white Hollywood movies – and hope this comes over in her writing.

What the World Needs Now – Trees! Cheryl Rosebush @cherylrosebush @freshly_press @lovebooksgroup #lovebookstours Illustrator Zuzana Svobodova #KidLit #ChildrensBooks #Ecology #SaveThePlanet #BookBlitz #WhatTheWorldNeedsNowTrees

What the World Needs Now is an environmental children’s book series for ages 4-8 that aims to connect the world’s youngest book lovers to the importance of nature, and our place in it.

Each book in the series follows a friendly animal through its habitat, helping kids learn about one thing the world needs now, be it more trees or bees or less plastic, to maintain a healthy planet.

The series is designed to help parents and educators lay the foundation for future learning on the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. But for our littlest kids, the connection starts at a much simpler point: their first job is to fall in love with nature – because you don’t protect what you don’t love.

The books support engaging with our kids on how we can better respect and care for the only planet we have.

This is a brand-new adventure for me – completely independent and self-published! And it feels like the culmination of everything I have ever worked on.

When was the last time you bought a book that offset its own carbon emissions and preserved critically threatened rainforests? So proud to say that when you buy “What the World Needs Now: Trees!”, you will be doing just that.

Meet Jefri! He’s the adorable main character in the first book of my series called What the World Needs Now: Trees!. He was created by my talented illustrator Zuzana Svobodova. For me, it was love at first sight!

I knew I wanted my first book in the series to be about trees, and after my World Bank mission to Sumatra in 2019, I knew I wanted my main character to be an orangutan. They literally have everything to lose by tropical forest loss. And since they share so similarities to humans, I thought an orangutan would be the perfect animal to underscore the ways in which we are all connected to trees.

Watch this amazing video to see Jefri come to life!

Cheryl Rosebush

I was born and raised in Southern Ontario, Canada in the cities of Burlington and St. Catharines. Long before the internet and mobile phones (now I’m aging myself!), my childhood was spent in forests and parks, on bike rides, and playing hide and seek until the streetlights came on. My family did comical Griswold-style road trips in wood-paneled station wagons. We spent summers swimming in friends’ backyards. These are my very fortunate roots.

I knew from an early age that my destiny would take me far from Southern Ontario. I graduated high school and moved to Montreal to study international politics at McGill University. The subject fascinated me, but as graduation approached, I realized I didn’t know what I wanted to do with a degree in international politics. I didn’t want to become a lawyer. I didn’t want to become a politician or civil servant. The media industry, on the other hand, intrigued me.

The West Coast of Canada also intrigued me. So, after graduating McGill, I packed up again, moved to Vancouver and took the first media job I could get at a local Top 40 radio station (Z.95.3) in Vancouver. Best job. Great bosses. I learned so much. But after a couple of years there, the winds of change came calling again.

September 11, 2001. In a heartbeat, Z95.3 went from playing Britney Spears to reporting up-to-the-minute information on the local, national and international fallout of the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington. In that moment, I knew I had found my calling. I wanted to do something that was needed on a good day, and needed even more on a bad day. I wanted to become a full-time journalist.

So, I packed my bags again (a running theme in my life), and moved to Ottawa, Ontario to do my Masters of Journalism. Another incredible two years culminated in me getting a research internship with the Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC) in London, England. That position helped me land back in Montreal for a second chapter there as local news reporter for the CBC. While I was there, I wore just about every hat you could in CBC’s radio and TV newsrooms. Depending on the day, I was a researcher, producer, reporter, or online writer. I even filled in for the weather reports every once in a while.

The Deal by Jonathan Whitelaw 4* #Review @urbanebooks @JDWhitelaw13 @HoneyandStag #TheDeal @lovebooksgroup #lovebookstours

Following the sinful shenanigans of Hellcorp and The Man in the Dark, the hellishly handsome Devil turns his attention to the most frightening of all holidays … Halloween.

Jonathan Whitelaw has written a unique, one-off special tale starring Ol’ Nick himself – and set in the wild Wild West. After lending a hand to a down-on-his-luck prospector, The Devil returns thirty years later to collect his debt – but as ever when The Devil is involved, nothing ever goes to plan.

A prequel to the bestselling HellCorp, this enthralling and very funny tale is the perfect read for Halloween and fans of Ben Aaronovitch, Christopher Fowler and Benedict Jacka.

All proceeds from every sale of The Deal will be donated to Samaritans.

Amazon UK

I bought a copy of this book from Amazon UK for 99p.

My Thoughts…

Atmospheric with authentic historical detail this quirky short story takes the reader to 1850s California, where gold prospecting is a way of life. Abner is a young man hoping to make his fortune, everything about the place unnerves him, but the chance for riches keeps him there. Enter the devil who sees him as a soul ripe for the picking and the age-old battle of good versus evil commences.

The devil has an enticing manner with untold evil barely hidden beneath the surface. The writing style draws you into the story. It makes you suspend belief, and the ending shows how unpredictable humans and life can be.

An ideal Halloween read which makes you want to seek out the author’s other books.
