No More Amazon Reviews –

Regular visitors to my blog will be expecting a review, and normal service will be resumed, but I just wanted to share with you the problems I have encountered recently with Amazon UK and my reviews. I usually post the review I share here on Amazon UK, but that will not be happening any more – see a copy of the email below.

Hello,

I am a member of the Amazon.com Product Review Abuse team. Jeff Bezos received your email and requested that I research this issue and respond on his behalf.

From what I can gather from the jargon, my reviews are considered biased because I receive arcs from authors, publishers and NetGalley. So do other book bloggers who post on Amazon UK  and yet other bloggers reviews’ and indeed Amazon’s ‘Vine Voice’ reviews are apparently acceptable?

My reviews are not biased, they are my opinion, people who read them can accept or discount them. I do read widely, usually 7+plus books a week and I enjoy a wide variety of genres. Reading, reviewing and blogging is my hobby, and it now feels tainted. The email allows no appeal, or even further correspondence and I’m left feeling like a victim in this.

Thank you for reading this and following my blog.

Here’s  a sample of my 5* reviews on Amazon

‘A little romance, a little suspense, a little murder, a little mystery…this book has it all. Hunt did a wonderful job crafting a well-rounded story with well-developed main characters that we quickly fall in love with and root for until the very end. Without giving away the ending, I will tell you that the twists and turns don’t stop until the very last page. Just when you think you have it all figured out, you realize there’s still more to be revealed.’ 5* Review

‘Jane Hunt did a marvelous job of keeping me on the edge of the seat with twists and turns all the while making you root for the characters you can’t help but to fall in love with.’ 5* Review.

‘ Good storytelling with believable characters and suspense. Great combination. Looking forward to reading more from this author.’ 5* Review

‘The story is written in bite-sized point of view changes and has more of a cosy mystery edge to the suspense that I really enjoyed as it allowed the author to focus on the developing relationship between hero and heroine. Rest assured though, there is still danger, passion, plenty of intrigue and some deft surprises thrown in to keep the interest and enjoyment level high. There is a subtle darkness that is well executed and ramps up nicely throughout the plot so that if, like me, you like your Westerns with a side-order of psychological suspense, you’ll love The Dangerous Gift.’ 5* Review.

At just eighteen years old, Jennie had left the Unicorn Ranch in Texas to seek a life in the outside world. But she wasn’t just running toward independence. Heartbroken and confused, Jennie fled her home after Jared harshly rejected her on the eve of her birthday.

Reviews for The Revenge Masquerade

ReviewsI thought I would share  two reviews  The Revenge Masquerade has received on Amazon  in case any of you are thinking of reading it. I would like to thank the two lovely ladies who took the time to read and review my book , it’s really appreciated. 🙂

Susan Reads Romance on Amazon.com

‘Book 2 in the Dragon Legacy and where to start. Okay, I know where…this is one hotter than Hades ride. Seventeen shades of lust, suspense, revenge, twists, turns, and nuclear-powered sexy scenes. If you like wolf shifters, spell casters, DRAGONS (!!!), and taking a trip to VENICE! Then baby, hop aboard this flight into fantasy. Jasmine is back and it’s her destiny that’s on the line. With two hot shifters pursuing her, she’s got the power to forge her future…but the face of evil is coming for her fast.

Revenge Masquerade will leave you breathless! Recommended for those who like a romance that’s fun, flirty, and razor-paced. All aboard!!’

Tracey on Amazon UK

‘The Revenge Masquerade is very aptly titled. This fast paced story is packed with intrigue and suspense, with more characters making an appearance who you have to question which side of good versus evil are they actually on! With the dragon infant still at risk, the story gets deeper and much more dangerous.

I must admit I had a fondness for Zane and witch Jasmine in book one of the series, so I was eager for them to get their own story. It begins with Jasmine abandoned by her wolf lover, but assaulted by nightmares and a feeling of Zane being in danger. It’s through her visions that she tracks him down to Venice and finds herself gaining the attention of more friends, or are they foe?

Zane needs to ensure the safety of Lukas, the dragon lord and the dragon infant. It should be his sole purpose. But how can he ignore sexy witch Jasmine, especially with her new admirer there to give her the attention that only he wants to give. Lucky for him she did arrive for Jasmine helps to uncover more secrets. The sizzling attraction between Zane and Jasmine proves they weren’t done at all. And things sure do get hot and steamy in this latest book!

Beautifully written. Book 3 please! ‘

Sunday Snippet: The Dragon Legacy

DSCN0616DSCN0781 DSCN0682 DSCN0693DSCN0783DSCN0650

Here’s a snippet from The Dragon Legacy.

She hadn’t expected this. His honesty made her forget her other questions and doubts. His velvet smooth voice reminded her of milk chocolate. The sound bathed her frazzled nerves and twitchy senses with languor. Spellbound, she watched his gaze fill with heat. He didn’t look like a dragon. No, he looked like a man, virile and sexy. He filled her mind with sinful images. Green-scaled dragons didn’t. They breathed fire. Or at least dragons did in the fairy tale books she recalled.

Lukas lifted her hands until they rested on his shoulders. She pulled away. His closeness scrambled her lucidity. Undeterred, he spanned her waist with his large hands. He held on tight as he rose and pulled her against him.

“Appearances can be deceptive, sweetheart.”

Fleur would have questioned what he meant, but his physical closeness distracted her. He held her even tighter. Every hard square inch of him plastered against her softer curves. She bit back a sigh of pleasure. He didn’t play fair.’
