My Thoughts…
A springtime visit to the seaside is always welcome. Add in some believably created characters, a complex mix of emotion and drama and a welcoming cafe, and I’m in book heaven. The second story in the Starfish Cafe series continues from the first with many favourite regulars and some intriguing new faces.
I enjoyed finding out about Hollie and Jake’s relationships and their home life, which is relatable and uplifting to read. This story takes the reader on an emotional journey full of laughs, shocks and tears with new characters Tori and Finley, whose tentative friendship is a focus of this.
The authentically created setting makes the story stand out. It’s full of realistic details that bring it and the characters to life. It’s the perfect book to escape with for an hour or two.
