I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

My Thoughts…

This is my first book in the Oakdale series. Fraser moves to the Lake District to keep his teenage daughter Lily out of trouble. He is a supportive father, which is even more important since her mother’s death. Fraser has a complex backstory involving Bri, a nurse at his new workplace. Initially, antagonist, the couple cannot deny their attraction. Both have trust issues, but an unexpected outcome forces them to think again.

The plot is contemporary and relatable, with believable characters. The well-paced story reveals a heartwarming family drama. The romance is sensual and full of internal and external conflicts which take the couple on an emotional journey to a lovely romantic conclusion.
