My Thoughts…
True love is never easy, and Chloe and James’ path to happy-ever-after is full of angst and conflict. Teenage lovers, they were torn apart by Chloe’s father who only thought of himself, and his reputation.
The reunion for this ill-fated couple is unexpected and paves the way for a second chance romance but do they still want the same things? James has a lesson to learn, Chloe needs to face her past, and both need luck and support.
There are festive trips in Paris which are romantic and lull the reader into thinking they will fall into each other arms forever, but this is more realistic, and both have to work hard for what they want. The characters are flawed, relatable and easy to empathise. The Parisian setting is romantic and vibrant, and the ending is worthy of their emotional journey.
This is a lovely romantic story with a festive twist.
