My Thoughts…

Izzy’s life is full of studying and working, she feels like Cinderella, especially when she inadvertently meets the VIP, whose room she’s supposed to clean. One magical night in a life governed by duty is all Rafiq allows himself. Fate intervenes, forcing another unexpected meeting with life-changing consequences.

Izzy is impulsive and wants to live life in the present and escape for a little while. Attraction overcomes naivety where Rafiq is concerned. Emotionally damaged, Rafiq doesn’t fit the royal stereotype but is determined to honour his heritage.

Izzy’s character develops positively in difficult and unfamiliar circumstances. Rafiq hides painful childhood memories to protect Izzy. Like all good fairytales, this has a happy ending.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

My Thoughts…

From their first meeting, Elena and Micah’s attraction clashes with their shared hostility. Both lack familial love growing up. They have a distorted view of relationships. Fear of rejection makes their romance conflicted.

The settings are glamorous and add romance to the story. Elena and Micah are complex, flawed characters. Their likeability makes you want them to be happy with each other. Circumstances conspire and finally, they find the courage, to achieve their happy ever after.
