The title drew me to this book but if you’re expecting office romance with a series of billionaire bosses you will be disappointed. I like the quirkiness of the first few chapters. The characters are vivid; full of flaws and oddities, which make them worth getting to know. I particularly like Amber’s flat mate Egg.
The plot is simple and easy to follow with no real surprises. I can understand why this story is popular on Wattpad it would be better read as a serial than a novel. The pacing in the middle sections is too slow for me. That said it is full of satirical humour and light romance and definitely worth a read.
I received a copy of this book from Harper Impulse via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
