Plus One is a Lucky Number has the feel good factor. It is a fast paced fun read with engaging characters and vivid settings.
Sophie plays down her looks and femininity to be taken seriously in a male dominated career. Hurt after a relationship with a selfish womaniser she shies away from dating and substitutes work for love. A family wedding looms and Sophie is single. No plus one. James a friend and work colleague calls in a favour and persuades Adam who Sophie secretly fancies to be her wedding date. Against his better judgement Adam agrees and the fun and confusion begins.
Adam is lush. A player who shies away from commitment he should be as unlikable as Sophie’s ex but he isn’t. His protectiveness towards Sophie is endearing as is his lack of insight into why he wants to look after her.
The sexual tension between Sophie and Adam is exciting and steamy. The tender, sensual love scenes are beautifully written and heighten the story’s romance.
The ideal read if you’re in need of a little T.L.C. Grab the chocolates and creamy latte, relax in a luxurious bubble bath and enjoy.
